Privacy policy
What DVM Windows collects when you ask for a quote, why we hold it, and the rights you have over it. Last updated October 2026.
Draft for the demo site. Items marked "to come" are being confirmed, and DVM Windows will sign off the final wording before the site goes live.
Who we are
DVM Windows is the trading name of DVM Services (UK) Ltd, company number 15484873, registered in England and Wales at Unit 17 Springfield Road, Hayes, UB4 0LE. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website.
ICO registration number: to come.
What we collect
When you ask for a quote, by the form, WhatsApp, phone or email, we collect:
- your name, phone number, email address and the postcode or address of the job
- what you need, rough sizes and anything else you tell us about the work
- photos or videos you send us of the windows, doors or openings
If analytics is switched on, we also collect standard website statistics such as pages viewed, rough location and browser type. That is not tied to your name.
Why we hold it
To reply to your enquiry and quote for the work, to survey and carry out the job, to invoice for it and to look after the guarantee afterwards. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract, performing that contract, and our legal obligations to keep business records.
Who else sees it
Only the services we use to run the business, such as our website host, our customer messaging system and our email provider, and only so your messages reach us. We do not sell your details and we do not pass them to lead brokers. The full list of providers: to come.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries that don't go ahead and records of completed jobs only as long as we need them, including for the guarantee and for tax records. Exact retention periods: to come.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email Email address to come and we will respond within one month. If you are not happy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
