Cost and quotes
How much do aluminium windows and doors cost?
It depends on the size of each opening, the product and system, the number of panels or sashes, the colour, the glass, the hardware and how much work the opening needs before fitting. Everything is made to measure, so we don't publish prices. Send us your sizes and photos and we aim to reply with a quote the same working day.
Can I get a discount or your best price?
We price every job on its own sizes and specification, and your quote gives you our price for that job. If you have a figure in mind, tell us: a different panel layout, a standard colour or simpler hardware can change the price, and we will tell you honestly what each choice involves.
What if I can't measure the openings myself?
That's fine. Tick the box on the quote form or tell us when you call, and we'll come out to measure. We always carry out a full site survey with exact measurements before your order is placed, so rough sizes are enough to start.
Do you do supply only?
Supply only is available on request if you have a fitter lined up: choose "Supply only" on the quote form. Supply and fit by our team is how we normally work, and it is what our 10-year installation guarantee covers.
Products and systems
Which aluminium systems do you use?
Mainly Smart Systems aluminium: Visofold bifold doors, Alitherm 400 and Alitherm Heritage windows, AluSpace sliding doors and Signature front doors. We also supply Cortizo systems, so we can match the system to the job rather than the other way round.
What colours can I have?
White, black and grey are standard. Almost any other colour can be powder coated. Special colours add about 6 to 8 weeks to the lead time, so ask early if you want one.
Are aluminium doors secure?
The Smart Systems doors and windows we fit are tested to PAS 24, the UK security standard for doors and windows. We talk you through the locking and glass options for your doors at the quote stage, so you know what you are getting before you order.
Lead times and fitting
What are your lead times?
From order: bifold doors in about 10 working days, sliding doors in 2 to 3 weeks and Smart Signature front doors in 4 to 6 weeks. Everything else is given with your quote. Special colours add 6 to 8 weeks. All lead times depend on availability, and we confirm your date when you order.
Who fits the windows and doors?
Our team surveys, supplies and fits every supply and fit job, so one company answers for the whole job. Every installation comes with our 10-year installation guarantee, and we measure every opening ourselves before anything is ordered.
Which areas do you cover?
All of London and everywhere inside the M25, plus surrounding towns outside it such as Watford, Hemel Hempstead and High Wycombe. Our base and showroom are in Hayes. If you are not sure whether we cover you, send us your postcode and we will tell you.
Payment, guarantees and regulations
How does payment work?
We take a 50% deposit when you place the order, and the balance is due before delivery. You can pay by bank transfer or card. The full terms are on your quote and on our terms and conditions page.
What guarantee do I get?
Every installation we supply and fit carries our 10-year installation guarantee. The manufacturer guarantees on the frames, the powder coating, the hardware and the glass are set out on your quote.
Can I return windows or doors if I change my mind?
Every window and door is made to measure for your openings, so made-to-measure products can't be returned once they are ordered. That is why we confirm the final sizes with you in writing first. If anything arrives damaged, we replace it.
Do new windows and doors need to meet Building Regulations?
Replacement windows and doors have to meet Building Regulations for things like energy efficiency, ventilation and escape in a fire. We fit trickle vents and escape hinges where they are needed, and we explain what applies to your job when we survey.
